An overwhelming community spirit attracted people from all over the world to the village reunion.

People flocked to the village from as far afield as Australia, New Zealand, America, Holland, Belgium, Zambia and all parts of the UK on July 22nd 2000.

Dale Daniel organised the event and announced it over the Internet. But the response he received was far beyond his wildest dreams. Proving that the community spirit created in years gone by was far from dead.

On the special day there was archive television footage and an exhibition of the village. Six computers showed more than 1,400 images relating to Witton Park.
